Banasura DamIt is located 21 km from Kalpetta. It is the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia. It is created by Karamanathodu tributary of Kabini River. Edakkal CavesThe Edakkal Cave is located at 25 km from Kalpetta.It is a 96 ft long, 22 ft wide and 30ft high cleft formed by the vertical split of a mountain. A gigantic rock of enormous size fell into this crevice, forming a large roof over a large part of it, which gives it the impression of a cave.
